CCP Warns: Cadres Can’t Be Religious
The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) central committee’s
magazine "Qiu Shi" recently published an article on religion.
Authored by CCP United Front’s Work Department deputy,
Zhu Weiqun, it warns that CCP members can’t be religious.
From the society perspective this indicates,
that the CCP belief system has been precarious.
Scholars said, CCP’s rejection of other religions
just reflects its own religious nature.
Reporter:
In the article, Zhu Weiqun wrote that the phenomenon of CCP
members participating in religious activities has increased.
And some CCP members actually became religious believers.
CCP owned media reproduced the article intact,
and echoed the criticism simultaneously.
But the people in mainland China have already become
accustomed to read the official statements “behind the article.”
Netizens wrote that at present, CCP members’ worshiping
Buddha and God has become a common phenomenon.
The leaders also often go to temples to worship.
The number of CCP members believing in religion had risen.
This happens to the extent that CCP United Front Work
Department had to specially come out and speak about it.
Jing Chu, a freelance writer from Guangxi,
said this indicates the collapse of CCP’s belief system.
Jing Chu: “When the communist’ belief system is corrupting,
they believe in the power, or the benefits.
In this situation, CCP members have no spiritual sustenance,
have no soul conversion, so they are bound to look for a faith.”
The article says, some local and government CCP leaders took
religion as a mean for economic benefits and local awareness.
And that they saw it as a work “performance” measure,
competing to build Buddha statues and temples.
Tian Li, a freelance writer from Guangdong, believes CCP’s
philosophy has been replaced by corruption and benefits.
Tian Li: “CCP controls mainland China for so many years.
It makes more and more people disappointed.
As for many CCP members, so-called the core CCP members,
CCP’s philosophy has already left their minds.
There is no belief in the life struggle for the CCP.
They are all about money.
The members with power and status fill up their pockets
with money. The members without power and status just sigh.”
In the article Zhu Weiqun said that some people, even CCP
cadres suggest to “lift the ban,” allowing belief in religions.
Some people also pointed out that not allowing CCP members
to be religious is against the constitutional law, which protects citizens’ freedom of religious belief.
The Chinese Constitution stipulates,
that the citizens have the freedom of religious belief.
However, the CCP is implementing education of atheism
in the middle and primary schools in mainland China.
With its communist indoctrination CCP instills in children
the Marxist’ and materialistic view of the world.
Jing Chu: “Although CCP wrote it this way,
what they actually do is another matter.
The CCP has never taken the Constitution As the Constitution.”
Professor Zhang Tianliang from George Mason University,
said what CCP really doesn’t allow is not worshipping Buddha.
Prof. Zhang Tianliang: “The CCP’s argument has always been,
your worshipping Buddha, praying to God and your wish for promotion and making a fortune, all these are allowed.
But you can’t put other religions above CCP. This is the most
fundamental CCP view when talking about the religious issue.
Because CCP itself is an evil religion,
religions are all excluded.”
"Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party,"
Epoch Times’ editorial series, analyzes the issue.
It points out that although the communist party doesn’t
call itself a religion, it has all the characteristics of a religion.
At the beginning of its establishment,
it took Marxism as the absolute truth on Earth.
Worshipping Marx as a spiritual God, it used the communist
idea of “paradise on earth” to lure followers to struggle for it.
The belief in God in orthodox religions
educates people in kindness and morality.
The communist party’s doctrine promotes class struggle,
violent revolution and the dictatorship of the proletariat.
This led to bloody violence and massacres,
that took the lifes of many millions of people.
